PRETTY UNEXPECTED

Neon / fluor
One of the main trends in design in the past year has been the use of neon / fluor colours, such as bright pink, orange and yellow. What I like about this trend is that it enables you to have a big impact with only a small splash of colour, allowing you to quickly transform a space. Experiment with adding a few bright elements on a neutral background, so that they really pop out. It also works well to combine neon with softer, pastel shades.

In the photo collage above you can see four different ways to use neon when you’re styling a space. You can use paint to add a shape to the wall or to add colour to a piece of furniture. You can also add neon coloured decorative items like fabrics and ceramics or use masking tape in bright colours.
